A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air.

Well, he replied, "What if I do this?"

And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.

He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.

"Now, who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.

It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

We feel as though we are worthless.

But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

It could have been a year but sadly, it was not meant to be. Thinking back, I realised I made a few mistakes that I should have avoided. That very downfall cost me other important things that I should have put to priority. And now, Defeat brings about a whole new meaning to Life.

I browsed through a huge pile of pictures over the Internet and within my hard drives. Found out I can be quite an idiot and a fool at times. No worries. That's just me. It wouldn't be me if I didn't behave as such, would it? Hahaha.

Don't worry. I'm not thinking what you think I'm thinking. It's just that, just this very year alone. Year 2006. I had and am having a lot of choices. But few seemed good enough. Maybe it's just me. I'm the one preventing things from happening. Probably cause I don't wish to have the same thing happening to ME once again. I don't mind doing it unto others though. As long as I know I won't be hurt.

And I won't ever allow myself to be defeated again.

Yes, indeed I'm loving something that I'm not allowed to. My tongue piercing. Got it done on Sunday and hurriedly rushed off to camp before mom even says anything but what have you? A sister who happily told her about it and I got yelled at over the phone. Haa. Can't really blame her though.

Oh well. Life still goes on. Even though it's very dry these few days. I'm just so bored. And waiting for my paycheck impatiently. Debts to pay, money to bank in. Oh my God. The worries of a extremely poor girl.

Went out with Alex, Andrew, Mark and Marvin for the 2nd time in two days. Watched the movie "Cars" with them yesterday at Plaza Singapura and today, soccer at Bencoolen's Kopitiam. Korea vs Togo. Korea won. Yay!

"Oh.. Pil seung COREA! Oh.. Pil seung COREA! Oh.. Pil seung COREA! Oh oh oh oh oh!! Dae Han Min Guk!!"

The South Africans were pretty rowdy but I must say that they provided quite a lot of entertainment. If not, I think that match would be a very boring one. Like the France vs Switzerland, where we caught at Pool Junction. Sad to say, we left before it ended due to poor play. Oh well. Everything's cool now that Korea won. *winks*

And I feel bullied by the guys. Got chided by Mark and Marvin during the Korea match, and it didn't end then and there. It continued till they sent me home. Bleh. Alex's chiding was pretty mild compared to theirs. Anyway, think I played a pretty good game of pool today. Won Alex and Marvin, even though I think it's more of pure luck than skill.

Alright. Shall head to lala land already. It's not early and I do need to wake up early tomorrow for tuition. Darn. I better be on time tomorrow. If not, I'll be condemned like hell. Haa. I'm out of here.

I'm back from my kayaking one and two star course and darn. I'm aching all over. From face to body to arms to legs. Argh! Paddled over 6 hours on Saturday and nearly another 6 hours on Sunday. Arms, face and legs are burnt, muscles are sore and joints are aching. Ouch.

Watched soccer yesterday night too. Serbia vs Holland. And I won 10 bucks. *smirks* And tonight is Korea's match if I'm not wrong. Woohoo~ Dae Han Min Gook!

Yes. People do change. People change and they forget to tell one another. I suppose we just don't feel obliged enough to inform those around us. Because changing is part and parcel of life. No one will remain the same from birth till death. One very obvious part is just the simple fact that, we all grow.

I think I've changed. For good or for worse, it's up to each individual to decide. I can't make up your mind for you. But to all there is, I'm still growing up, experimenting with whatever small resources I can gather. And right now, it's your choice - whether you'll stick by me through this growing stage, or leave me to wither away on my own. Hahaha. What a way to title this post but heck. It's been a long time and I sure do miss a lot of things. Time just passes by you while being away at camps. Sometimes I don't even recall what day it is. Just did a series of 4 back-to-back camps last week and finished yet another one yesterday. And boy, I'm damn tired.

But what to do? I'm just so in love with camping. Might be going off for another one this Wednesday but it's still not confirmed yet. Hope everything goes well.
